Cerous hydride, CeH3

The combination of cerium and hydrogen proceeds readily even at 310°, but is best effected at 450°, at which temperature the dissociation pressure of the Cerous hydride, CeH3, does not exceed 1 mm. The hydride is spontaneously inflammable.
