Ceric iodate, Ce(IO3)4
Ceric iodate, Ce(IO3)4, may be prepared by heating together cerous nitrate, iodic acid, and concentrated nitric acid. It is a yellow crystalline salt, very sparingly soluble even in boiling nitric acid, and hydrolysed somewhat by water.
